They are coming, they are coming...now! First mass produced EVs are ready to hit the road.

"When we would like to understand the potential scenarios for adoption rate of Electric Cars, make a forecast for demand for EVs, lithium batteries and Lithium and REE as strategic commodities - we better go where the future is already happening. This time it is happening in Japan and not only in a sense of the latest technologies involved in EVs - like electric power-trains and lithium batteries - but more in a sense of the living in the world without cheap oil.

Japan is importing all of its oil and we will be much better off following people who are living already in the coming reality to the Western world and what they are actually doing in order to sustain mobility. China is betting on Electric Cars as the next industrial drive as well, both countries are searching the globe for the new sources of secure supply of Lithium and REE."

"The world is going mobile and everyone wants stay mobile - we want to achieve this right regardless of Oil price and its availability. Now, we have technology which enables us to do so - our mobile communication devices and Electric Cars. What allowed this to happen is the drastic technological improvement of the battery technology and the discovery of a very powerful chemistry based on lithium ion solution. Billions of dollars and years of research have manifested as iPads, iPhones and Electric Cars."

"We still think that even this amount of corporate stupidity - on part of PR at GM - will not kill the idea about an electric car from GM second time. GM Volt has a lot of unique features and can not be called in the end just an "overcharged Prius." We are very pleased, personally, to confirm - that GM Volt will be able to drive in a pure electric mode: at least with fully charged battery until it will be depleted and the generator will kick in, which can have a mechanical connection to transmission in that mode at different speed ranges, contrary to everything we have heard before.

We will refer you to the "The EVcast episode" this week discussing this issue at depth.

The most important message is in the headline - you can have now your own "Home Gas Station" while you have electricity bills paid. We have the technology to survive the Oil Shock and it will be soon on our roads in numbers."

And charging stations are coming out as well now...

  "Now all picture comes together in electric space: we have roll out of GM Volt and hope to see it on the streets soon, Nissan Leaf has delivered its first electric car in U.S. and Europe is buzzing with electric vibe about EVs at Paris Motor Show 2010. Here comes the charging infrastructure, everybody worried about, to make EVs a real mass market phenomenon. Across the pond Renault has announced its plan to advance Charging infrastructure as well.

France is very serious about its Electrification Program: by law all newly built commercial real estate will have to have charging points from 2012 and residential buildings will have to comply from 2015."

   "We can mark the GM Volt roll out controversy as the start of Nissan Leaf roll out campaign. It will be interesting to see the next chapters in this ongoing web and mass media drama. Sometimes stupid things could be viewed as a genius marketing moves later. GM Volt dance comes to mind in this sense as well.

  We still think that even this amount of corporate stupidity - on part of PR at GM - will not kill the idea about an electric car from GM second time.

  The most important message is in the headline - you can have now your own "Home Gas Station" while you have electricity bills paid. We have the technology to survive the Oil Shock and it will be soon on our roads in numbers.
  Could it be done better - no questions, particularly, on PR part. Nissan Leaf will keep GM on its toes and coming competition from all EV automakers will be the most important for establishing mass market for EVs.
  More important, than the question of EV purity, will be in the end the efficiency and cost structure of the total ownership of EV.
  Here we think we will be up to the new surprises. We like REV idea as a transition point between CEV, or "Thermal" as they call it in Europe, and EV space - you will not have any Range Anxiety and can have only one car in your household to meet all your family transportation needs.
  But this convenience will come at a price: higher sticker one to start with - 41k for GM Volt before rebates - and higher servicing costs: basically you have even in GM Volt - plug in hybrid scheme - EV architecture plus generator and transmission as per GM Volt powertrain architecture. It will add in servicing cost (generator is the CE with oil, filters and bands) and in weight, which can reduce efficiency.
  Here we will see, whether we will be up to the surprise from Nissan Leaf later. GM Volt has announced now revised EV range 35 - 50 miles per full charge and that they will use more than half of the battery pack capacity - something more like 10kWh out of total 16kWh lithium battery. It means that with range 40 miles (which is already debated to be more closer to 30 miles in actual driving conditions) GM Volt will use 0.25kWh per mile. In Nissan Leaf case we have announced 100 mile range (we will see reports about actual driving conditions here as well) with 24kWh lithium battery - 0.24kWh per mile. Please note, that here we have assumed that Nissan Leaf will use 100% of its battery capacity. Either Nissan Leaf will be more conservative in the end on its efficiency vs GM Volt in a pure electric mode or GM Volt is not that efficient compare to Nissan Leaf.

"This year we have quite a few warnings already about Peak Oil from main stream economists, universities, US military and government agencies all around the world. The question now is not if, but when is it going to happen.

We have time still, but it is running out very fast. After a certain point in the oil price increase the only concern we are going to have about Electric Cars will be their availibility on a mass scale to preserve our way of life and freedom.

"We expect consumers to shift - on a mass scale - from CVs to EVs, with proof that technology is viable and can provide the same utility but with a Better Experience. The Emotional Drive will be the driving force of this switch of consumer preferences."

"China to Invest Billions in Electric and Hybrid Cars. Nothing will be left to a chance in this methodical execution of state-level plan in China: transformation of the country's transportation system into the base of 21st century clean tech industrial revolution to further power its rise. China has already surpassed Japan as a second largest economy in the world and it is the largest auto market now."

E&ETV Spotlights ASPO-USA's Warnings on Peak Oil

'Peak Oil Is a Theory the Way Gravity Is a Theory,' ASPO-USA's Jim Baldauf Says During Interview on Energy Policy

WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- E&ETV, the leading source for comprehensive, daily coverage of environmental, energy and policy markets, highlighted the peak oil crisis during an interview with Jim Baldauf, the co-founder and president of the Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas (ASPO-USA). Baldauf discussed policy options for addressing a peak and ways to minimize the impact of a shrinking energy supply. He also emphasized that the debate over peak oil is over. "Peak oil is a theory the way gravity is a theory," Baldauf said.

"Peak oil is a finite resource," stated Baldauf. "Any finite resource has a beginning, a middle, and an end. We're not saying that we're out of oil. We're saying that we're about halfway out of it. There's still oil in the ground, but it's going to be more difficult, more costly to acquire from this point on," Baldauf said, adding that "we are already feeling the impact of peak oil." The recession has masked some of its effects, he said, but "even in the middle of this recession, oil is at $83 a barrel this morning. It was in 2005 that oil topped $50 barrel for the first time."

Baldauf also discussed his experiences as an oil man and witnessing the crisis first hand. "I happen to be an oilman in Texas in a very small way and I've seen peak oil play out under my own drill bit. We're having to drill twice as deep at twice the cost to get a third of the production."

Peak Oil will also impact military resources. The interview highlighted the The Joint Operating Environment 2010 Report released by the U.S. Joint Forces Command, which forecasts a worldwide oil peak by 2015, and observed that the effects "surely would reduce the prospects for growth in both the developing and developed worlds."

The U.S. military understands peak oil, Baldauf said. "The Army doesn't have an ideology to follow. They have a mission to move troops and tanks. They know the importance of liquid fuels."

ASPO-USA is bringing together many of the world's top energy experts to further discuss oil scarcity and strategies to mitigate the risks at their sixth annual Peak Oil Conference which began October 7 and will run through October 9th at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill.

  In the end, we are not talking only about Electric Cars here, but about ... lithium ion technology to power these babies.

 Girls love dolls and Boys love cars - when they have grown up Girls love cars and Boys love dolls...

  It is very powerful investment thesis.

"For us it is the very powerful combination: Warren Buffett, China and electric cars. Latest move by BYD into Lithium space in order to secure supply of strategic commodity confirms our observations and investment thesis. "We hope that, finally, market will find out that TNR Gold has gold not only in its name, but holds now 100% of Shotgun Gold deposit in Alaska. With all recent cyber activity in the market we thought that there is no hope in justice for this junior and nobody will ever honor their word again. Nova Gold has proved us to be wrong here. We guess that such a deal took some time and we are raising our hat to the Nova Gold management, who fulfilled their commitment.

Even more, apparently, they can see the value and upside in all assets of TNR Gold in Gold, Copper, Lithium and REE. The deal is done with shares and warrants of TNR Gold. Nova Gold was holding the stake in TNR Gold before and now they have increased it just under 10%. Whoever has been shaken the tree with automated selling, he will not be able to get any more cheap shares in this junior. Management and insiders hold 50% of the company. Among other shareholders is another major - Barrick Gold. Canada Zinc Metals holds a strategic stake in the TNR Gold and Chinese Togling is buying now more than 30% in CZX.v In this light, trip to China will be very interesting: TNR Gold holds REE project in Canada: Big Beaverhouse and with all recent publicity around REE, we can expect some new developments here as well."

"Update:

TNR Gold agreement for Shotgun property

2010-10-08 21:41 ET - Property Agreement

The TSX Venture Exchange has accepted for expedited filing documentation of a purchase agreement dated Sept. 28, 2010, between TNR old Corp. and NovaGold Resources Alaska Inc. whereby the issuer will acquire a 50-per-cent interest (which when combined with interests already held by the issuer in the property, which will result in the issuer holding a 100-per-cent interest in the property) in the Shotgun property located in southwestern Alaska."

  Management of this company does not grow grass under its feet - TNR Gold is moving forward in advancing Shotgun Gold project, following their announcement about consolidation of 100% of Shotgun Gold deposit last week.

Ameri Gold Corp. could present a focused investment opportunity, with dedicated management team for the investment in the development of "a major gold asset" on American soil.
Very interesting people are joining the company, we will see how fast will they move in this Bull market with this very impresive gold asset.

• Acquires NovaGold's 50% interest in the Property to increase it's ownership to 100%;

• 6,000,000 shares and 3,000,000 warrants in the Company for consideration of NovaGold's 50% interest;

• Shotgun Ridge contains a Non NI43-101 historical resource of 980,000 ounces grading 0.93 g/t*;

• 210.5 metres grading 1.29 g/t Au at Shotgun Ridge indicates higher grade feeder zone open at depth; and

• $8 million spent on the project to date by the Company and previous operators.

"The Shotgun property is a major gold asset and the successful unification of a 100% interest translates into a significant increase in inherent value for the Company" states Gary Schellenberg, CEO -- TNR Gold Corp. "The current economic climate is ideal for the advancement of a project such as this and we look forward to the opportunity to realize its potential"

Shotgun Project

The Shotgun project is located 175 kilometres south of Donlin Creek within the Kuskokwim Gold Belt in Southwestern Alaska, an area emerging as a world-class gold district hosting more than 40 million ounces of aggregated gold resources. The Shotgun project includes a number of prospects, including Shotgun Ridge and nearby Winchester. Donlin is an intrusion-associated system and represents one of the largest undeveloped gold deposits in the world. The Company believes that there are several key similarities between prospects in the Shotgun Project area and that of the Donlin Creek gold deposit as well as other intrusion associated deposits.

Previous work at Shotgun Ridge by NovaGold has estimated a historical resource of 980,000 ounces grading 0.93 gram per tonne (g/t) at a cut-off of 0.5 g/t(i).

The Company built on NovaGold's previous exploration work on Shotgun Ridge and a subsequent drill program in early 2006 reported a 210.5 metre intersection grading 1.29 g/t Au, which has led to the identification of two higher grade feeder zones and leaves the mineralization open at depth. This discovery intersection has yet to be followed up and an updated NI43-101 compliant resource has yet to be estimated. To date there has been 4,095 metres of drilling at Shotgun Ridge.

(i)(Not a NI43-101 compliant resource. A qualified person has not done sufficient work to classify the historical estimate as current mineral resources, the issuer is not treating the historical estimate as current mineral resources and the historical estimate should not be relied upon. This resource estimate is quoted from the Technical Report on the Shotgun-Winchester Project, SW Alaska. 7 March 2008 and available on www.sedar.com).

The Winchester zone is an underexplored intrusion-associated gold prospect situated approximately 16 km south of Shotgun Ridge. The full extent of mineralized sills and dykes at Winchester is unknown since only 1.5 kilometres out of the 8 kilometre long ridge, host to numerous unexplained gold geochemical anomalies, has been explored in detail. Drilling during 2005 and 2006 identified gold-bearing sills in the eastern end of the Winchester zone. To date there has been 1,653 metres of drilling at Winchester.

Although the style of gold mineralization in sills at Winchester is quite different from the quartz-breccia stockwork that hosts the gold at Shotgun Ridge, the two prospects are geochemically very similar and are considered to be part of the same overall system. TNR believes a major structural axis, encountered in several drill sections, is critical to the mineralization and runs parallel to the ridge at Winchester. The next phase of exploration at Winchester will extend into the untested area along the ridge to the west in the direction of the structural axis.

The other two prospects that make up the Shotgun property are Shot and King. Shot contains some of the strongest geochemical anomalies on the Property and needs to be tested for similar mineralization to that found at Winchester. King includes several unexplained geochemical anomalies as well as a drill ready breccia zone.

John Harrop, P.Geo, is the company's qualified person on the project as required under NI 43-101 and has reviewed the technical information contained in this press release.
