"Los Azules emerges in this light as a very important Copper deposit with a lot of upside in its valuation among the leaders in this particular quality, relatively high CAPEX requirements, but in the solid middle or to the higher band in a lot of different investment metrics compare to the other juniors in the analysis provided by CIBC."

It is very important that, according to CIBC report page 42, legal claims of TNR Gold are communicated properly within the industry now. Junior can fully rely on its litigation strategy, court decision or potential out-of-the-court settlement, should Minera Andes decide to clean the house before calling the real estate agents.
We will always leave it to the lawyers and court to decide - who owns what in this case in its proper time.
Copper is going up and the deposit is growing - we guess that nobody is in a hurry here. Argentina will become more fluent in Mandarin and the value of every lb of Copper in the ground will go up - to reflect fundamental picture described in the CIBC report."

Mr. Gary Schellenberg reports

TNR GOLD CORP.: LOS AZULES COPPER PROJECT COURT DATE SET FOR SUMMER 2011

TNR Gold Corp.'s litigation in the Supreme Court of British Columbia related to the Los Azules project in Argentina, involving TNR, Minera Andes Inc., MIM Argentina Exploraciones S.A. (Xstrata) and related entities, has been joined for hearing and scheduled for a new trial date of June 20 to July 15, 2011. The trial will be held in Vancouver.

As disclosed by TNR in Stockwatch on May 17, 2010, the subject of the legal actions is TNR's right to back-in to 25 per cent of certain properties constituting the Los Azules project. The Los Azules project is an advanced exploration project currently reporting a National Instrument 43-101-compliant inferred resource. MAI and Xstrata are contesting TNR's ability to exercise its back-in right. TNR is vigorously pursuing its claim and opposing MAI's efforts to deny the back-in right.
The company encourages interested parties to review the amended statement of defence and counterclaim in their entirety on its website for a better understating of TNR's position.
It should be noted that the statement of defence and counterclaim are not intended to be, and should not be interpreted as, sources of factual, business or operational information about TNR or any of its affiliates. The statement of defence and counterclaim contain assertions that have been prepared solely for use in connection with the legal dispute with MAI and Xstrata, have not been proven and should, therefore, not be relied upon.
We seek Safe Harbor."

We are checking the new presentations and Los Azules Maps on Minera Andes website - it looks like, according to Rob Mcewen on page 22, stepping out hole with 1.12% Cu over 62.5m and four best holes:
#46 1.08% Cu over 145 m;
#48 1.01% Cu over 216 m;
#49 1.05% Cu over 236 m and
#61 1.04% Cu over 168 m
 are all based on the Northern Part of the property, which is under this litigation.

We have now another followers from Metal Augmentor:

TNR Gold (TSX-V: TNR; Pink Sheets: TRRXF)
Minera Andes (TSX: MAI; OTCBB: MNEAF)
TNR Gold Corp.: Los Azules Copper Project Court Date Set for Summer 2011 - November 4, 2010
There is probably very little that will happen with the Los Azules project while TNR Gold’s claim to a 25% back-in right to a portion of the Los Azules project is litigated over the next year or so. That isn’t necessarily a big deal since neither the present valuation of TNR Gold nor Minera Andes relies much if at all on Los Azules. On the other hand, Los Azules could start looking more and more attractive to mining companies as other large South American copper projects are developed in the next few years, leaving fewer major properties in the pipeline. As mentioned previously, we do consider Los Azules as a likely development prospect, despite its remote, high altitude location, because the “layout” of the mineralization is favorable in comparis0n to many other large porphyry copper deposits. Thus, we do expect that Los Azules will command a substantial valuation at some point in the future, making the outcome of the TNR Gold dispute a relevant matter for investors with patience.
With respect to that dispute, Minera Andes appears to have an obvious legal edge based on a literal reading of the option agreement and this will be difficult for TNR Gold to overcome. By no means, however, does Minera Andes have a cakewalk on its hands given that it is unusual (even suspicious) for an optionee’s back-in right to be for a minority non-operating interest conditioned on performance by the optioner. Since the 36 month condition was a modification of the original letter of understanding, which had an open-ended back-in right, the legal merit of the case could very well come down to determining what if any new value was received by TNR Gold in exchange for allowing the 36 month condition (which clearly works against TNR Gold’s benefit). As the hearing nears and assuming we think there is some speculative money to be made, we’ll try to find and read through the agreements to see if TNR Gold did indeed appear to receive something in exchange for the loss of benefit due to the 36 month restriction. [Silverax]'

It is important to remember, that now, according to this NR, all litigation around Los Azules between TNR Gold, Minera Andes and Xstrata is joined in one trial and TNR Gold will seek, according to the Statement of Defence above, not only rectification of the option agreement to reflect its true intentions - without 36 months condition, but that "production of a feasibility study, whether produced within 36 months or some other time, was a condition solely for the benefit of Solitario (TNR Gold sub - S.), and as such, could be waived".

Also at stake is Escorpio IV property:
"We did not understand why Minera Andes did not accepted the back in right by TNR Gold and lost opportunity to consolidate the project and secure a very important Escorpio IV property, where according to Minera Andes mining plan part of mining facilities supposed to be located, but Rob McEwen must has his own strategy. With this kind of presentation it will be not cheap any more to settle out of the court, but it is always better then drag such a project in litigation for years to come."

We have something happening today with Copper Fox Metals - this company is on the CIBC Copper M&A list.

Teck Resources will be a natural suitor here for Copper Fox Metals, but we will see what the news will bring us today. Maybe it will be results from that visible mineralization at Shaft Creek reported earlier.

"Copper Fox Metals is another runner this season and, according to Globe, our expectations of M&A potential action here is not far stretched as well. Globe has reported about Potash primed for takeover in February this year and now we have BHP bid for it this Summer - not bad for the Globe with its crystal ball at all. Copper Fox is trading at 0.75CAD today.
"Copper Fox Metals is on the move up today with volume and maybe will break out finally out of 0.4CAD range. Another long term Copper play is back in the business after the crash. Story is very high leveraged to Copper price and any potential M&A deals."

Copper Fox drills 54.3 m of 0.70% Cu at Schaft Creek

2010-11-04 15:45 ET - News Release

Mr. Elmer Stewart reports

DRILLING INTERSECTS SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER GRADE MINERALIZATION AT SCHAFT CREEK AND CONFIRMS MINERALIZED NATURE OF GEOPHYSICAL ANOMALY

Copper Fox Metals Inc. (TSX-Venture: CUU) is very pleased to announce the assay results for the recently completed diamond drill hole CF398. Two diamond drills are currently working at Schaft Creek to test the extensions of the mineralization intersected in DDH CF398 and to test the deposit at depth for higher grade copper-gold mineralization. Highlights of activities are as follows:

Highlights:

Diamond drill hole (DDH) CF398 has intersected 0.70% copper, 0.42 g/t gold, 2.80 g/t silver and 0.04% molybdenum (1.13% copper equivalent) over an interval of 54.3 metres (m) of copper mineralization starting at 7.1 m below surface confirming the potential to outline a higher-grade "starter pit",

DDH CF398 intersected a higher grade of mineralization that assayed 0.47% copper, 0.37g/t gold, 3.00 g/t silver and 0.02% molybdenum (0.78% copper equivalent) over a 213.7 m interval from 325 m to the bottom of the hole at a depth of 538.7 m. The copper-gold-molybdenum-silver mineralization is open at depth and the assay results confirm the mineralized nature of the chargeability anomaly identified in July 2010,

The analytical results show that the copper grades and notably the gold grades increase significantly toward the bottom of DDH CF398,

The re-sampling of approximately 40 historical diamond drill holes that contain higher grade copper mineralization is progressing well,

Held public open house sessions on the draft Application Information Requirements (AIR) in Tahltan communities, Terrace and Stewart B.C. The public comment period on the draft AIR will close on November 5, 2010, and

The Quantec Titan-24 deep penetrating DCIP and MT survey over the interpreted north and south extensions of the Schaft Creek deposit has been completed.

Mr. Stewart, President of Copper Fox stated that "The decision to add another diamond drill at Schaft Creek was based on the visible mineralization encountered in DDH CF398 and DDH CF399. DDH CF398 has confirmed two very significant aspects of the Schaft Creek deposit being a zone of high grade copper mineralization at surface; potentially a "starter pit" and a substantial increase in the copper and gold grades towards the bottom of the hole. Drilling is now underway to test the down dip extension of the mineralization at the bottom of DDH CF398."

It was worth waiting for, we have a best result to date from Hardrock property - Premier Gold drilled there 7.92 Au g/t across 114.5 m! Golstone Resources is breaking out to the upside today on volume.

"The End of Money: Gold will be go much higher from here, it will not be the straight line, but every set back will provide an investment opportunity in Gold and Silver space. We will share with our thoughts and companies we like and you will be cautioned to make your own DD as usual.
Next stage will be fight for the resources and M&A activity at all stages of investing in Gold mining cycle. With rising Gold price and inflated paper Majors will shop for juniors to buy time and gold in the ground. Jim Puplava will be a very good narrator to all our travel maps and reports about our journey. With rising gold, price price of physical gold will become even more prohibitive, we do agree with Jim that people will start to buy gold mining shares again with their easy to run discount brokerage accounts."

"Very interesting: Goldstone Resources has  found another reason to be acquired by Premier Gold - 44m of 3.17 g/t intersection at "The Key Lake property is contiguous to the Premier Gold/Goldstone Resources Hardrock project where diamond drilling by the company's partner, Premier Gold Mines Ltd., has established a significant gold resource at surface as well as high-grade intersections at depth."

Mr. Philip Cunningham reports

HARDROCK PROJECT DRILLING: BEST RESULTS TO-DATE

Goldstone Resources Inc. operator Premier Gold Mines Ltd. has delineated significant gold mineralization in multiple horizons at the Hardrock joint-venture project in Northwestern Ontario. There are currently 11 drill rigs operational on the property, testing for extensions of previously mined zones and exploring new target areas. Goldstone holds a 30-per-cent carried interest in the Hardrock project.
Recent highlights include:
  • 7.92 grams per tonne gold across 114.5 metres including 23.56 g/t Au across 31 m in hole MM179C conducting initial resource-confirmation drilling in the F zone;
  • 18.49 g/t Au across 20.5 m in hole MM170 located approximately 500 m west of the limits of previous exploration;
  • Recent exploration drilling has intersected strong mineralization in new areas on the property, and assays are expected in the near future.
"We have ramped up our drilling due to unparalleled success in multiple areas. Expansion of historically mined zones and multiple new discoveries are expected to add materially to the current gold resource at Hardrock," stated Ewan Downie, President and CEO of Premier. "This continued success demonstrates the potential to define a multi-million ounce gold deposit".
"We continue to be gratified by results at the joint venture with Premier, while aggressively pursuing drilling programs on our 100%-owned properties in the Geraldton-Beardmore camp, including the Key Lake property, contiguous to the Hardrock Project," added Philip Cunningham, Goldstone Chairman and Interim CEO.
F Zone Resource Delineation
The F-Zone is the largest of the past-producing mine zones at Hardrock which produced more than 1.4 million ounces utilizing bulk underground methods with widths often exceeding 30 metres (100 feet). Importantly, when the mine closed in 1960's, a 600-metre plunge length of ore was left unmined. Hole MM179C is the first of several holes to confirm this mineralization and upgrade it to NI43-101 resource standards (see Figure 1 and Table 1) This intercept returned the following assays:

We have first upgrades and boost in a share price target for Lundin Mining after the Tenke Fungurume news.

"Lundin Mining is in no way a junior mining company, will have attention from Majors in the Copper sector. Freeport McMoran - J/V partner on Tenke Fungurume - will be a natural suitor for this Jewell. In our logic it have to attempt at least to buy out the share of Lundin Mining in Tenke Fungurume - otherwise it will be done by others and Chinese, who are very active in DRC, will be backed by the DRC government in this case. An outright bid for all Lundin Mining operations could be in the cards as well.

We believe that Lukas Lundin will have to make his move and show that now - with cash flow from Tenke Fungurume and further expansion of production in DRC - he can build value in Lundin Mining itself. Realisation of the facts, described above, by the market could bring the share price north of CAD10.0 (we will not be surprised to see a target price of this magnitude with company's book value at around CAD5.2 now and E/P at CAD 0.13 in Q2 2010). Lukas will be again in a very favorable position after these very tough few years for the company. He can and should use his currency - shares in the company above CAD10.0 to buy another companies with sizable projects at still undervalued valuations among juniors. He should definitely, in our opinion, to study well opportunities for acquisition in CIBC report. His another company - NGeX Resources is a part of that M&A list with its properties in Argentina, Chile, Africa and Canada is moving up nicely in price these days as well. TNR Gold has a few J/V projects with NGeX Resources in Argentina. Lukas Lundin was buying recently NGeX Resources in the market."

Globe says Lundin Mining target boosted to $8

2010-10-26 05:45 ET - In the News

The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday edition that Lundin Mining jumped 15 cents to finish Monday at $6.90. The Globe's Darcy Keith writes in the Eye On Equities column that Lundin Mining stock has a 52-week range of $2.91 to $7.04. Lundin Mining will now hold a 24-per-cent ownership interest in the Tenke mine following an agreement between Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold and the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo. CIBC World Markets analyst Alec Kodatsky says the deal clears the way for further investment to expand the mine. Mr. Kodatsky boosted his price target by half a buck to $8. UBS Securities Canada analyst Onno Rutten upgraded his rating on Lundin Mining to "buy" from "neutral" with a price target of $5.20 in the Eye column on June 23. The stock was then worth $3.62. TD Securities analyst Greg Barnes maintained Lundin Mining at "buy" in the Eye column on Feb. 24. Lundin Mining stock could then be had for $4.44. Mr. Barnes targeted the stock at $7. The Globe's Allan Robinson wrote on Sept. 18 that Lundin Mining stock still had room to rally. It was then trading at $3.89. The Globe's David Parkinson said Lundin Mining was underpriced on Sept. 2. It was then worth $3.71.

FP says HudBay missed a big opportunity with Lundin

2010-10-26 06:03 ET - In the News

See In the News (C-HBM) HudBay Minerals Inc

The Financial Post reports in its Tuesday, Oct. 26, edition that Lundin Mining's successful conclusion of the review of Tenke Fungurume Mining's contracts in the Democratic Republic of Congo must have HudBay Mining shareholders wondering what life would be like now had the Nov. 21, 2008, merger gone through. The Post's Barry Critchley writes that it is a certainty that HudBay shareholders would have ended up a lot better off had the miner been successful in issuing $488-million of stock and buying Lundin. Try about $800-million better off, or $5 to $6 a share given that HudBay has 149 million shares outstanding. HudBay shares closed Monday at $16.39. As of Monday, HudBay has a market cap of $2.44-billion, while Lundin has a cap of $4-billion -- a gap of $1.56-billion. Half the difference, or $780-million, was left on the proverbial table by HudBay shareholders. "By their actions the HudBay shareholders have deprived themselves of an enormous windfall," says an unnamed observer. Another unnamed observer says, "Notwithstanding all the noise at the time, it looks like that the smartest guys in the room were actually" former chief executive officer" Allan Palmiere and the board of HudBay after all."
